'Even Better Chocolate Mug Cake' Redone

When I first made 'Even Better Chocolate Mug Cake' it was very good almost my favorite. But making it was easy but still took a bit longer then I hoped. Stirring and stirring until the cocoa powder and icing sugar mixed in took quite a bit of time and some times made a mess. So I made a redone version where the egg and icing sugar are mixed first then cocoa powder. Also I added baking powder and reduced the cocoa powder. And it works a lot like Quick Personalized Mug Cake where the chocolate chips sink to the bottom unlike my former cake which had the chocolate chips suspended inside cake. The cake has almost as much stability too. So now it's time for the recipe!

Ingredients:

One large egg.
1/4 confectioners sugar ( Icing sugar).
1  1/2 TBSPs cocoa powder.
1/4 tsp vanilla or almond extract.
1/4 Baking powder.
Your choice of topping.

Start by breaking an egg into a mug or shaped bowl.
And beat it until smooth. And then take out a spoon full or two of the egg out.
That happened by accident. When I beat the egg some of it spilled. But it made the batter way better, but if you would like to skip this step

Beat in the confectioners sugar

Whisk in the cocoa powder, extract and baking powder.

Now whisk this super well.

Add your toppings. And microwave for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes.

Serve and enjoy!

Microwave Baked Apple

In honor of apple season and Halloween me and my mom made this delicious treat.
In comparison to a mug cake this has almost half the sugar and a third the butter.
Also it's an apple so that right there is better than flour and eggs. When I first heard of
microwave baked apples I did not know that that was even possible so I asked my mom
and she showed me how to make this amazing apple treat. The sugar, cinnamon and butter
mixed with the juice from the apple make the best sauce ever.

Ingredients:

One Granny Smith apple
Two TBSP brown sugar
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1 TBSP butter

Cut the core out of the apple being careful not to cut through to the other side.
Set the apple aside and discard the core

In a bowl add the sugar and cinnamon.

Mix this together.

Place the cinnamon sugar in the hole in the apple.

Put the butter on top of the sugar mixture.

And cover with plastic wrap.

Microwave on high for two to five minutes. It really depends
on the size of the apple. Mine needed two minutes

Serve and enjoy!

Quick Personalized Mug Cake

This recipe is one of my favorites. It makes a lot of cake but, the dry ingredients and sit indefinitely until you would like a cake. This simple recipe is so quick and delicious. You can make this as long as you have cake mix and water. This can be make in a bowl or mug and not fall over. They are rather impressive in the way that they are extremely airy and they don't just fall over into a pile of crumbs. Also this can be personalized in many ways with many different toppings. All in all this is an amazing cake and should always be on hand.

Ingredients:

One box of angle food cake.
One box of any cake mix that is not angle food
Water
Your choice of toppings
Your choice of garnish

Start by whisking the angel food cake and your choice of boxed cake mix together.

Pour into a plastic bag.
And ( this is personal preference) write "1/3 cup mix with 3 TBSP water".

And that's all.
Your finished, just add 1/3 of a cup of mix to your bowl or mug.

Add three TBSP water and mix very well. At this point it should be very foamy.

Add your topping: see tip ( it will sink to the bottom of the cup or bowl in microwave).

Microwave for one minute.
Remove from the microwave and turn out onto a plate.

And add your garnish like whipped cream, mint, coffee beans, or maraschino cherries.

Tip:

Chocolate Upside Down Cake: put hot fudge sauce in the bottom of a mug and pour the batter over the top.

For a Caramel Cake: drizzle caramel sauce over the batter and don't mix.
